    3. Encourage Healing

You are welcome to send me any questions you may have. Healed photos of your tattoos are also appreciated.

Unless adhesive allergies are specified, your tattoo will be covered with Tegaderm (second-skin)

    To remove second skin

    • Peel up an edge or corner of the wrap. If this proves difficult, you can attach medical tape to the corner of the film to help lift it

    • I recommend removing the film in the shower. Slowly running it under water (thats not too hot). Do not pull it straight up away from the skin. Instead, pull the film back and across the skin while holding your skin taught to avoid pulling.

Once you successfully remove your covering

    • Keep your tattoo clean. Wash with mild unscented soap and warm water till lather

    • Lightly moisturize after letting the skin breathe. Use a very light layer of an unscented lotion, with no active ingedients. Dont rub.

    • Avoid itching the area

    • Wear loose clothing or a light breathable bandage to avoid friction in the area.

    • Avoid sun exposure while healing. Always apply SPF once your tattoo is healed, when exposure to the sun cant be avoided. This can help prevent premature fading overtime.

    • Avoid submerging in water for long periods of time during the healing process. No swimming or baths.

    • Avoid body and skin treatments in the tattooed area until fully healed.
